Saigon has another floating market in District 7 besides the seasonal one in District 8 during Tet. It is on the canal across from District 4.
Dozens of fruit and vegetable boats dock on the District 7 canal across from District 4. They seem to group in several areas along the length of the canal.
The Coffee Ship is a floating cafe in Saigon, on the canal between District 4 and District 7 on the D7 (south) side. There are three bridges that cross the canal, it is just west of the center bridge. Apparently its twin ship, to the right in the photo, burned up two weeks prior to our visit.
Gangplank entry. This was the day before we left for Thailand. Sorry because it is now my favorite cafe in Saigon. Hope it isn’t ashes when we return.
Tilting camera, not tilting ship, it is moored with pontoons and cables and just sways a little from passing wakes.
First floor. The furniture and fixtures are very rustic looking, from palm tree wood. Only time I have seen palm wood used for anything here.
